Fever Cough Running Nose

Up In the Middle of the Night

and finally

These set the stage for Bill Whittle, who asks us "What will WE say, to the soldiers who sacrificed comfort, limb or life for us to have FREEDOM?"

As an American whose namesake signed the American Declaration of Independence, my heart is uneasy as I contemplate where we are now, and what we can do, now?

'Good luck at your upcoming trial... I'm not looking forward to mine!'

Had a great-great grand-something or other, fighting for the Union, fighting to end slavery, fighting for HIS progeny, HIS 'downline'... have I honored his sacrifices? Have I grown complacent sucking at the tit and feeding at the trough of Big Government-Tiny Handouts?

Is there a LARGER 'Plan', a bigger blueprint than 'Republicrats vs Demoblicans' ? It was an email today, from a dear and intelligent friend, voicing consternation over my written acknowledgement of the Democrat Party's racist reality, that sparked this post. He is right, it IS disturbing to examine that racism rationally, and I may have been ill-advised to put it out on the ether, when what humankind needs now is UNITY, not UNIFORMITY, but Unity, Justice and Courtesy...

And yet, as a doctor, when I see a certain illness in another human, I'm not 'projecting' it there, nor am I wishing it to be there or arguing for continued suffering of that patient, with that problem. (Be clear, the Republican Party has plenty of problems and some racists, which is another factor in my search for an alternative to America's corrupted, bigoted 'government', just as Thais are searching for purity, decency, clean-mindedness and moderation in their elected government.

We have reached the end, a few years back, of even the possibility of justice in America, the end of the effectiveness of 'law and ordure'; the end of rational freedom to make our OWN DECISIONS about our lives, in part because we've surrendered our courage, our responsibility and our principles.

For money? for fame? That is the very definition of 'prostitution'... material payoff to abandon righteous action!

So listen to those Civil War songs, think of the race-amity America was developing before this current administration and the HUNDREDS of 'Executive Odors' the White House has issued, as if 'Executive Orders' are part of our Constitution!

Then think what YOU can do to carry forward an ever ADVANCING civilization, NOT an ever-encroaching dictatorship.

Day 18-The Pains of Disunity

Day 18-The Pains of Disunity

Friday Jan 31, 2014CE/170BE  Dateline Bangkok

Quoting David Eimer of The Telegraph:
"Now, there are increasing signs that those attacks are just the prelude to a conflict that could be far more deadly than the battles between red shirts and the military in Bangkok in 2010 that killed 90 people.
With the opposition Democrat Party boycotting the Feb 2 poll - in the knowledge that it will almost certainly lose it by a large margin - and the constitution court ruling the election can be legally postponed, Thailand is bitterly split along political and class lines that threaten to overwhelm its fragile democracy." D.Eimer for The Telegraph
The Thai PEOPLE don't want what you're selling, they reject you and your Party at the polls, so you resort to violence to FORCE THEM to accept the wonders of your way of doing things! If a few thousand lives are lost, or tens of thousands injured, well it's for the 'greater good' and the ends justify the means... and might makes right, doesn't it?

You might wonder why Yingluck-RedShirts don't strive earnestly to find middle ground, PRINCIPLES they can agree on, so both sides can agree to peacefully resolve any differences as to METHODS of REALIZING those principles...

And in wondering that, you would put yourself into position to see one of the underlying links binding Thailand with Ukraine with Egypt with Iceland... a monied group, or 'class', is being faced with classless social structure as the Oneness of Humankind becomes ever more apparent in daily life around the world. We, the People of the world want Justice for ALL, because we see that 'Law and Order' is NOT Justice, nor is 'justice for the rich' or 'justice for the poor' actual Justice!

In Thailand's 'fragile democracy', much of the fragility is due to YEARS of inability (outright refusal) of 'the ruling classes' to agree upon a BASIC LAW, one Constitution for ALL citizens, so the government can be limited, held accountable and made accessible for ALL citizens, not just the YellowShirts who want to be treated as lords, ladies, upper-crust, elite beings quite different from the muddy, dusty shoeless animals who produce 17 MILLION TONS of food rice every year...

The Thai king went out of Bangkok and SERVED the Thai commoners, day after day, for DECADES, leading by the dynamic force of example, and his selfless actions still rankle with the monied 'elite' who see themselves (Red and Yellow) as somehow 'above' the commoners! Why should THEY have to mingle with the 'common' people?

So in regard to the 'Why not unite?' question, the answer is clear: Money wants its privileges, equal rights for equal humans is desired by Thai (and Ukrainian and Egyptian and Icelandic) populace but bitterly rejected by would-be 'kings and priestly caste', the two groups of humankind accustomed to having power and RULING! (It was from the kingly caste and ecclesiastics around the world that Baha'u'llah seized power in the mid-1800's, and declared 'I have given power to the people!') The elitist-wannabees do not want to accept their humanity, and are ready to sacrifice men, women and children on the altar of their elitist hungers, while We, the People are willing to shed our blood for principles of Equality, Fraternity and Justice!

Stay tuned!

Day 17 - By Hook, Crook, Truth or Dare...

Day 17 - By Hook, Crook, Truth or Dare...

Well, Mr Yellow-Shirt threatened publicly to surround voting stations across Thailand, to block citizens access to a legal vote, and that prompted Red-Shirts to step into the light, machete in hand, and vow to protect the voting stations nationwide.

"It's already a war, just unarmed until now!"

The Yellows are perceived widely as elitists, functionally 'royalty', though
not part of the royal family... they're mainly rich elite, who are sure THEY can run the country better than
all these unwashed field-hands...

But the 'field-hands' are no longer ignorant, stupid clods, barefooted and enfeebled by royalty's selfish clutching of real POWER (reading, numbers, and rational THOUGHT). We're responding, around the world, to The Glory of God, Who proclaimed:

'From two ranks among mankind have I seized power...
kings and ecclesiastics!'
and
I have given power to the people!

Sound familiar? Huey Newton,Bobby Seale, MLKing, Dick Gregory, (ME, circa
1963-4... Hey, I wrote an article for the FIRST underground newspaper published by a JUNIOR-HIGH school, California, in 1961!)

I wasn't yet aware that The Blessed Beauty had walked the earth, but I had a 9th grade teacher who sparked a fire in me that rages still... truth, freedom, responsibility, trustworthiness...

So We, the People, are fighting in Ukraine (Wow!!) Egypt, Greece, Portugal, Iceland, Thailand, Burma, Union of South Africa...

Fighting against the 3 Evil Giants (or Giant Evils) eating our human world: racism, materialism and communism! on our way to a universal peace, with justice and compassion and even MORE hard work, but without the extremes of wealth-poverty, the racism, the materialism and the communism-socialism!

I'm really tired today, forgive me for cutting this short.

Day 16-Bangkok Beatdown Running Down Rundown?

Day 16-Bangkok Beatdown

Running Down Rundown?

Well, if you read yesterday's post, with the shocking revelation of Thai incompetence, ignorance and greed negatively impacting the whole Thai nation, you can understand why the Yingluck-RedShirts have lost part of their support constituency, and Bangkok's businesses are formally and informally taking action-steps to get this destructive, spiteful BICKERING off the table, under the rug, on the back burner... ANYTHING to get back to 'business as usual' or 'corruption as usual', but NOT 'stagnation and obstruction as usual!'

Really, I thought America's dictatorial government had morons for its Detroit 'Whiz-Kid' team (who frowned when experienced design engineers told them their suggested gasoline-electric hybrid was impractical because of the Laws of Physics, responded with: "Who is this Fizziks guy? We're with Obama, we'll get his laws repealed!') but Thailand outdid them with that goofy Rice Scheme (buy Thai rice at premium prices to keep its voter-base happy, then hold it off the world market, and Presto! the price of rice goes UP, Thailand sells and everybody's happy!).

Because, as we now see, Thailand's 17 MILLION TONS of high-cost rice is still sitting in storage, after buyers used, oh, FIVE MINUTES ONLINE to legally CUT/END their contracts for Thai rice, and bought elsewhere, at which point India released TEN MILLION TONS of quality rice onto the global market and Thailand slipped from #1 to #2 position in world rice production, just barely ahead of Vietnam! [Moody's says this could cost 8% of Thailand's GDP this year! Wow! Smooth move, Thailand! ]

So even if there is no illegality, this is still a seriously bone-headed, STUPID and ARROGANT effort by Yingluck's RedShirts!

Stay tuned, we're nearing the end of the month, Chinese and Thai New Years are coming up, and a lot of business big-wigs are looking today to smack the government upside its collective head!

Day 15 - Bangkok Beatdown Undone Output

Day 15 - Bangkok Beatdown Outlook Undone Output

For my readers who want detailed reports on this slow-motion convulsion, I here suggest The Bangkok Post   and if you have any questions, I'll do my best.

A few more shots, a few less Yellow-Shirts (from cold and requirements of life ELSEWHERE, not the shots), a bomb blast and the government finally getting around to asking for more arrest warrants for the people breaking Thai law:

"The 16 are Suthep Thaugsuban, Sathit Wongnongtoey, Chumpol Julasai, Putthipong Punnakant, Issara Somchai, Witthaya Kaewparadai, Thaworn Senneam, Nathapol Teepsuwan, Akanat Promphan, Anchalee Paireerak, Nitithorn Lamlua, Uthai Yodmanee, Samdin Lertbut, Gen Preecha Iamsuphan, Ratchayut Sirayothinpakdi or Amornrat Amornrattananond and Kittichai Saisa-ard." (Courtesy of and Hat-Tip to Bangkok Post)
Remember that Thai pronunciation NEVER uses a theta-TH sound, but only uses the exceptional TH (Thoman, Thames, Thai) sound of T. So those are the Yellow-Shirt movers, shakers, enablers and policy-makers...

If they voiced a policy of rational evolution which gets debated, examined and decided BY THE Thai PEOPLE, this reporter would probably support it... however, the Crowd seems to be clinging to its demand that an unelected, unConstitutional 'Peoples' Council' be empowered, to send corrupt, kangaroo-court-guiltified enemies to the guillotine...

Well, maybe not THAT far, but something like it...

16:04 Bangkok (as I typed) an official notification that 'America is concerned about Thailand's political unrest, and doesn't want to interfere but urges all parties to use restraint and wisdom instead of violins.'

Or something like that... the Big Picture? Egypt, Iceland, Ukraine, Thaiand, Syria, South Africa, America... the People are rising up to assume responsibility for our OWN lives, as Baha'u'llah, the Glory of God, requires. The world of near-absolute control of 98% of humankind by the 2% in 'the kingly caste' and their enablers, 'ecclesiastics' (both of whom closely guarded access to the POWER of reading, writing, understanding and KNOWLEDGE) is GONE. Finished. Ended with the beginning of the Digital Age, when Samuel F.B.Morse publicly tapped out 'What hath God wrought?' and simultaneously, halfway around the world, the 'one like unto the Son of Man' came down from Heaven and was recognized by the first Believer: May 23, 1844

Day 14-Bangkok Slowdown Down Down

Day 14-Bangkok Slowdown Down Down

No new suggestions from the Yellow-Shirt camp, the extreme cold is eating away at its citizenry-of-support, and the news media have even LESS 'headlines' worthy of interrupting their regularly-scheduled mediocrity to broadcast.

Traffic was fairly light on our Blockade-Runner's Avenue, but it is Sunday evening in the chill but jasmine-scented suburbs of The Big Mango, so I'll report on traffic Monday morning.

In OTHER news, a friend of the family celebrated her 19th Sun-cycle here last night, with loud music, suki and about 15 friends. Two of them were handsome young men, Brian and Reece, intelligent and alert gents, the took time to com in and visit Big D(addy), and discuss the travesty of Common Core in America and its parallel, 'Bureaucratic Slow-Death' in public schools here.

And no, I was NOT really jealous of their full heads of hair, because I uhm, the, I mean... where were we? Oh, yes, 'Gimme a head with hair, long beautiful hair, shining streamin' screamin' flaxen waxen...'

And there we have it, from the Wannabee of Sublime Politics to the Ridickle-dockle ridiculous of 'Hair', in one swell foop!

See yez Monday!

Day 13-Bangkok Beatdown Shutdown Fades Out

Day 13-Bangkok Beatdown Shutdown Fades Out

Well, here's Saturday morning in Bangkok, and it is really difficult to see any PRESENCE, let alone effects of the Yellow-Shirt crowd...

Today's TV and radio headlines were noteworthy in that they nearly IGNORED the Yellow-Shirt crowd, focusing rather on the Ukraine's fight for We, the People, and the Ukrainian government's vicious, police-firebomb attacks on We, the People.

We, the People of the world, KNOW that Frederic Bastiat was right, even if we've never heard his name, we KNOW that the governments of the world are enslaving Us, the People, against our will and for the material benefit of a few hundred people!

Whether dictatorship, republic or parliament, today's 'government systems' are proving themselves *lamentably defective,* as Baha'u'llah stated so clearly over a hundred years ago.

This is not the time for kings, elites or dictators to 'rule', today is the day fo Justice, Judgment and Joy to the World!

Updates from Bangkok IF there are any today...

Day 12-Bangkok Bullyfest

Day 12-Bangkok Bullyfest

Well, it's official: Coldest Winter since 1984... news reporting more than 60 cold-related deaths this month, and more cold to come.

Which makes it even MORE difficult to continue bleating and browbeating the rest of Thai citizenry when all but your wealthy, tented (or house-owning) supporters have returned to the comfort of their homes.

TV has run about one-half the number of updates we had on Day 8, Monday, when things appeared to be headed toward a crisis, but Thursday and Friday on all channels have been 'normal' (mind-rotting soap operas) and very few headlines from the Yellow-Shirts.

Added to that are the 30-second 'Vote for US!' mini-commercials of all sorts of candidates, not just Red-Shirt, Yellow-Shirts or Democrats... older, younger, men, women... all with their elevator-pitch on why this vote is important and why you should Vote for ME in a few days...

All of which undermines Sutep's position, saps strength and urgency from his efforts, and reinforces the feeling of 'lets get back to normal' or 'we're actually GETTING back to normal!'

I just checked our 4-lane feeder road which empties into 6-lane boulevard Lahd Prao, and our feeder was CHOKED, bumper-to-bumper going OUT of town, for whatever that's worth... it IS Friday afternoon, after all, and Thais love a good weekend, if a holiday is not available for the moment...

So I'll report Saturday, or sooner if any URGENT happenings happen, but that's all for Friday!

Day 11-Bangkok-Beatdown: Around the Edges

Day 11-Bangkok-Beatdown:

Around the Edges

This reporter lives a few kilometers from the 5-corner concentration of Yellow-Shirts gathered to congest or deny traffic through that important intersection. Doing this will prove the righteousness of their viewpoints, justify them FORCING the legally-elected government to vacate offices, in dereliction of duty.

Surely there are many vehicles that cannot access the 5-corner intersection as they have become accustomed to doing.

ก็มีรถจำนวนมากที่ไม่สามารถเข้าถึงสี่แยก 5 มุมที่พวกเขาได้กลายเป็นที่คุ้นเคยกับการทำ

But strangely, the humans steering those vehicles are, how can I say this, adaptable? LEARNING? Learning where freedom of choice actually IS, today? They must be, because many of the feeder lanes and secondary traffic arteries are jammed with traffic, 06:30 AM to 2230 when it slackens off...

Which makes the Yellow-Shirt mob visible, annoying... but ineffectual. Thais aren't letting THIS voluble, scofflaw crowd get between THEM and income, them and SERVICE!

How long will this continue? Well, how long will it take for the Yellow-Shirts to see the oxy-moronics built into their efforts? FORCE to oust government actually does rationalize or legitimize FORCE being used, to oust Yellow-Shirts, doesn't it? How long will it take to discuss systems of government that are just, fair, honest, trustworthy and acceptable to ALL Thais?

Where is the Amit-Abha promised by Lord Buddha, when we need Him? How long will we stand by while the Three Evil Giants (materialism, racism and communism) eat our world?

Do what you can, now. Thais and others are avoiding confrontation, even when Yellow-Shirts act in ways intended to provoke violent confrontation, they're getting to and from work, around the edges...

What does that tell us about the whole situation?
สิ่งที่จะบอกเราเกี่ยวกับสถานการณ์ทั้งหมด?
(Thank or curse Google-Translate for the Thai here. My Thai is aural-oral, not written.)

Bangkok Shutdown Day 10- Random Thoughts on Dwindling Prospects

Bangkok Shutdown Day 10-

Random Thoughts on Dwindling Prospects

Really cold for Bangkok this morning, and Yellow-Shirt protesters who must sleep under the stars are finding it a pretty rough go, what with the gusting winds from the north this morning!

This may be why the numbers of 'protesters' are down for the third day in a row... not precipitously, but down nonetheless.

Keep the core conflicts in mind: 'Yellow-Shirts use FORCE to try to oust a legally-elected government, but glibly assert that no vocal minority after them will use FORCE, because they'll be so honest and clean...' (paraphrasing)

The Thai TV stations are still running the 'mindless dramas' derided by so many in the protest crowd, and be clear, they ARE really mindless 'soaps', but the underscore a couple aspects noted here previously: 1) TVs are earning millions of Baht daily, from legitimate advertisers; and 2) life is going on 'as normal' for the great majority of Thais because 3) like several taxi drivers said to me, "Yellow? Red? They're ALL corrupt!"

Oh, to have an administrative system of collective decision-making and policy-setting where there are NO 'parties' (everyone's important, everybody's well-being is considered); there are NO nominations; all adults have the right and the obligation to vote for the persons best-suited to government (and hence the responsibility to LEARN who is best-suited in their community); no way for government to aggrandize themselves, rather they strive to humble themselves and listen intelligently to the thoughts, concerns and aims of those they serve...

Oh, wait! Such an *administrative system* is practical, functioning and producing tangible good around the world already... for the Baha'i World Community, through the Universal House of Justice...

And that's the wider context for these Thai, Egyptian, Syrian, Iraqi, Iranian, Icelandic, Greek, Chinese troubles... humanity is coming of age, and neither kings (or uncrowned dictators) nor clergy are suited to govern in this Day.

Day 9-Bangkok Shutdown Slowdown Showdown Jan 21

Bangkok Shutdown Slowdown Showdown Jan 21

Like others reporting on what we see in Bangkok (eg., Washington Post, Michael Yon) this reporter strives for objectivity, honesty and -especially- a truthful representation of what's happening, in context.

Catching Thai-language TV reports every hour or so got me thinking that the Shin TV stations (Yingluck's family controls some bigtime communications media) COULD be operating like the Yellow Shirts, haranguing listeners hour after hour with 'truthful but damaging' stories critical of the Demonstrators and their leadership.

The TV stations, however, have stuck almost exclusively to broadcasting official statements of the duly-appointed government officials as various headlines merited publicizing. They have NOT shifted to an hour-after-hour report/analysis format designed to expose the fallacies in the demonstrators' arguments nor have the TV stations sought to whitewash the current government.

TV reporters don't seem to dwell on the brinksmanship being pressed by the Yellow Shirts' continued push to have Yingluck do to them what the Democrat government did to the Red Shirts in 2010.

In fact TVs and radios seem to be pretty much 'business as usual', so the appearance is one of 'normalcy' unless/until one approaches an 'occupied' intersection...

Neither Yingluck's government nor the Yellow's have dwelt much on the legitimacy of unconstitutional 'change of people' in the government by use of non-violent FORCE, but after all, government is about the use of FORCE and citizenry is about FREEDOM, so even as we stumble through Day 9 we can rest assured that the whole world of humankind is moving toward the standards adumbrated by Baha'u'llah, Who calls humanity to know:

O SON OF SPIRIT! The best beloved of all things in My sight is Justice; turn not away therefrom if thou desirest Me, and neglect it not that I may confide in thee. By its aid thou shalt see with thine own eyes and not through the eyes of others, and shalt know of thine own knowledge and not through the knowledge of thy neighbor. Ponder this in thy heart; how it behooveth thee to be. Verily justice is My gift to thee and the sign of My loving-kindness. Set it then before thine eyes.(The Glory of God; Hidden Words #2)
 See y'all tomorrow.

Bangkok Bullydown: Day 8, Morning

Bangkok Bullydown: Day 8, Morning

Much of the city IS working as usual, is NOT shutdown.

The Thai people have a righteous, actual, sincere desire for Justice, courtesy, trustworthy governors and trustworthy government, just as the Egyptian people hunger for justice, the Syrians, the Icelandic, the Americans, the Burmese and Muslims around the world.

But they have all been told 'The Promised One hasn't come yet. He was expected in 1844 (1260 on the Muslim calendar) but everybody knows He hasn't come yet, so these problems with the human spirit must be POLITICAL problems.'

We haven't been told by our clergy (Jewish, Buddhist, Christian, or Islamic) about the Coming of the 'One like-unto the Son of Man' in Christian prophecy, the al-Qaim (The Point, around Whom revolve the reality of ALL previous Prophets, because so much of their Holy Message centered on "The Promised One WILL Come!") in part because the clergy of the world think 'everything is going on as it was before', until they are confronted with questions that can lead to opening their eyes.

'So you are saying there were telegraphs in the Day of Moses/Buddha/Jesus/Muhammad?"
"If this Day is NOT the Day of God's promise being fulfilled, we're still in Muhammad's day, when kings and clergy had all the worldly power, and news came at the speed of horse, right? IS THAT WHAT IS REAL in THIS Day?"

Questions like:
'When the Buddha of Great Glory, Amit-Abha or Abha Beauty comes, there will be THREE giant evils 'eating the world of humankind', right? Three evil giants like Racism, Communism and Materialism, like today?'

'If the Holy Christ Spirit did NOT come down out of heaven May 23, 1844, or we 'scoff and deny our Lord Who redeems us' has Returned, doesn't that imply MISTAKE in Jesus' words that point directly to the year we now call 1844?' (Matt 24:14, Luke 21:24, Matt 24:15)

'If we investigate The Glory of God, but cannot see the Holy One promised by the previous Revelators, HOW CAN WE CLAIM to see that Holy Spirit in OUR Prophet? By what proof do we believe in the prior Prophets?'

So because We, the People of this world have been fed a steady diet of 'Oh, don't worry, He WILL come, any day now, so OBEY US, His appointed intermediary clergy' for the 170 years since May 23, 1844, we naturally cast our spiritual problems in the dialectic of 'politics' and 'just governments', while more and more humans around the world are educating themselves to the realities of the Oneness of Humankind, the need for Justice in addidion to laws and rules; and the necessity for rational personal responsibility.

Trustworthy reporters and observers (like Michael Yon here in Bangkok) SEE and FEEL the authentic hunger of the people for honesty, justice, trustworthiness. At the same time, those reporters are often themselves jailed in their preconceptions that 'this is a LOCAL affair' or 'this is connected to world events, but really a (Thai/Egyptian/Icelandic) problem...' and thus miss the connection that TODAY we are awakening to the reality given us by the Promised One:

'From two groups among men I have seized power... kings and (clergy) ecclesiastics...' and 'I have given power to the people.' Baha'u'llah, the Amit-Abha
This is NOT the Day for political parties, NOT the day for Yellow-Shirts, Red Shirts, Brown Shirts or factions; NOT the day for THIS race of 'Uber Mensche', all other races 'Unter Menschen'...

In THIS Day,
"The Bahá’í Faith upholds the unity of God, recognizes the unity of His Prophets, and inculcates the principle of the oneness and wholeness of the entire human race. It proclaims the necessity and the inevitability of the unification of mankind, asserts that it is gradually approaching, and claims that nothing short of the transmuting spirit of God, working through His chosen Mouthpiece in this day, can ultimately succeed in bringing it about. It, moreover, enjoins upon its followers the primary duty of an unfettered search alter truth, condemns all manner of prejudice and superstition, declares the purpose of religion to be the promotion of amity and concord, proclaims its essential harmony with science, and recognizes it as the foremost agency for the pacification and the orderly progress of human society. It unequivocally maintains the principle of equal rights, opportunities and privileges for men and women, insists on compulsory education, eliminates extremes of poverty and wealth, abolishes the institution of priesthood, prohibits slavery, asceticism, mendicancy and monasticism, prescribes monogamy, discourages divorce, emphasizes the necessity of strict obedience to one’s government, exalts any work performed in the spirit of service to the level of worship, urges either the creation or the selection of an auxiliary international language, and delineates the outlines of those institutions that must establish and perpetuate the general peace of mankind." The Guardian; emphasis added.
Aren't these principles the precise realities being asked/demanded by the People of Bangkok? Whether Yellow, Red or No-Shirt, these ideals can be seen underlying the authentic, important yearnings being expressed today, can't they?

Day 7 Bangkok Shutdown Attempt

Day 7 Bangkok Shutdown Attempt

The crowd at 5-corners (Rajada-LadPrao intersection) may have been relatively well-mannered, but it was also markedly smaller today, Sunday, the seventh day of this smiling, coercive bullying by one group, to get its way re: RULING Thailand.

Government would be a good thing, and there are signs that the Thai citizens at large are beginning to think about 'government without THESE parties' and 'government of the people, all the people, FOR the people and BY the people'...

Do I have any easy answers? Probably not. I've sought diligently through all this to ask questions about the on-going reality, allowing as how facts show that one pretender to the Prime Chair has outstanding warrants active for his arrest on charges growing from the deaths of several opposition-party citizens while he was in the responsible position in government, to be charged for their deaths...

And I recognize that the incumbent, although technically still 'innocent unless/until proven guilty', has some serious accusations stacked up against her...

Furthermore, I understand what a 'false-flag attack' is, and don't have the facts to prove or disprove such in the bombings, killings and mayhem witnessed to-date.

What I DID see was the Sutep-YellowShirts rallied at a major choke-point for causing major inconvenience to motor traffic, but had not the courage of their convictions such that they could march 2,000 meters FURTHER up LadPrao, because unaligned citizens and Red Shirts awaited them, but didn't seek out confrontation.

So Sunday has come and gone in The Big Mango, in the Land of Smiles. I'll report on what Monday brings, Monday. See you then.

Today brought this, first ever, near our home:

Day 6: Bangkok Why No Shutdown?

Day 6: Bangkok Why No Shutdown?

Some simple realities, facts, behind this week's Big Crowd Coercion in Bangkok, to help you, Dear Reader, make sense of it all.

Sutep (Suthep) is a career politician. He rallies support by demanding the current, legally government be ousted BECAUSE, he says, the government is corrupt, and HE (and his royalty-liking followers) will bring JUSTICE to government.

Yingluck, the serving prime minister of Thailand, says 'The Democrats are corrupt, are supporting Sutep and Sutep cannot EVER be prime minister because he placed himself ABOVE our beloved King when he publicly stated, 'If the king won't sign Yingluck's resignation documents, then I WILL."

So at this point, Sutep (nobody calls him Suthep, its a simple t sound) can look to install an avatar, a puppet government, because as much as the Thai lords, ladies, ultra rich and rich would support him for prime minister, they are still a minority in Thailand, needing the Democrat party to give them some minimal semblance of popular representation.

When recent reports from the Yellow Shirt crowd say, "We don't need payment to be here (in the street), MY HUSBAND IS RICH!" it is more than simply one woman crowing her position, it is the majority of the Yellow Shirt (Sutep) group: rich to ultra-rich; many knighted by the Royal government, many believing themselves intrinsically SUPERIOR to the mass of Thais.

Which brings us to the Red Shirts, represented by ousted technocrat Taksin Shinawat, and now by Yingluck Shinawat. The avowed supporters of this part of the Thai political world are tech-savvy, middle-class or poor, who probably COULD use some help getting to and from a rally...

Red Shirts only had a very few supporters from the 'royalty' crowd, and one of them was shot dead in a public, murderous assassination a few years back, which helped to dissolve the big demonstration at that time.

So with Friday's blasts, injured, caches of weapons and frayed nerves, it is becoming more obvious to Thais around Thailand that BOTH groups- sorry, all three (Yellow, Red, Democrat) want to install THEIR people under the guise of 'justice, fairness, truth and honor', but don't seem to have any particular METHODS of ensuring 'justice for all' if and when they assume the reins of government.

Some are even beginning to rationally question the supposed need for 'government', suggesting that We the People can actually GOVERN OURSELVES as well or better than a Yellow elite or a Red minority!

"Civil disobedience is not our problem. Our problem is civil obedience. Our problem is that numbers of people all over the world have obeyed the dictates of the leaders of their government and have gone to war, and millions have been killed because of this obedience. Our problem is that people are obedient all over the world in the face of poverty and starvation and stupidity, and war, and cruelty. Our problem is that people are obedient while the jails are full of petty thieves, and all the while the grand thieves are running and robbing the country. That's our problem."
~ Howard Zinn, from 'Failure to Quit' (emphasis added)

Day 5: Bangkok Shutdown: Friday Facts

Day 5: Bangkok Shutdown: Friday Facts

Thai TV just broadcast images (still and video) of the capture of a cache of weapons, from the Yellow Shirt crowd; cache including machetes, shotgun, M-16s, ammo and more. This follows on the earlier blast that injured 20, triggering the American embassy's warning.

Yellow-Shirts shout: 'False Flag! Not ours!'

But who do we believe?

Inasmuch as all humans in this Day are required to 'investigate the truth' to 'see with your own eyes, and not through the eyes of your neighbor', and in light of the reality that we CANNOT go everywhere and view EVERYTHING in the headlines every day, it becomes even more important to vette and consider who creates trustworthy reports today.

Some of the trustworthy souls I've found to-date include Mark Steyn, Victor Davis Hanson, Michael Yon and Charles Krauthammer. Websites that have proven themselves to be honestly striving for accurate reporting and analysis of events include Drudge Report, Hot Air and American Thinker.

Please offer YOUR suggestions in the comments below.

Day 5 Bangkok Shutdown: Update 13:45 Blast Injures Eight

Day 5 Bangkok Shutdown:

Update 13:45 Blast Injures Eight

Thai TV reporting some kind of blast injured 20, no deaths. It was eight when I wrote the headline, updated as I typed.

No (public) indications of who is responsible for the blast. All injured appear to have been marchers.

"They're both groups equally bad," say some Thais we interviewed this afternoon, "only difference is the Yellow Shirts (Sutep et. al.) want the Kingly caste (family and lords/ladies) but Taksin's group doesn't."

According to the interviewees (and a Thai-language photo online today) "You say Sutep is against corruption? Get the Democrats out, too, and we'll support you. Until then, Yellow-Red-Democrat? Same criminals!"

The great majority of Thais are seeing the truth, and they're fed up. They want something trustworthy, honest, NEW...

Update: 1720 BKK, Friday evening: This from the American embassy here:

This is to advise and update U.S. citizens residing in or traveling to Thailand that there have been multiple reports of violent clashes the afternoon of Friday January 17 at several protests sites in Bangkok.  One incident occurred near the National Stadium and MBK shopping mall at Pathumwan Intersection downtown.  Another attack occurred near the Government Center on Changwattana Road in the northern area of the city.  Casualties have been reported, although details are unconfirmed.  Additional crimes involving weapons and explosives related to the ongoing political situation have occurred at protests sites in recent days.

Then, two paragraphs later, it advises:

We strongly recommend that U.S. citizens traveling to or residing in Thailand enroll in the Department of State’s Smart Traveler Enrollment Program (STEP) at www.Travel.State.Gov.  STEP enrollment gives you the latest security updates, and makes it easier for the U.S. embassy or nearest U.S. consulate to contact you in an emergency.

But we couldn't receive as much help as Ambassador Chris Stevens, could we? Kind of pointless to sign up for security updates that say, 'No help is EVER coming. Period.'

Bangkok Shutdown Day 5: Coercion Has Its Cost

Bangkok Shutdown Day 5:

Coercion Has Its Cost

If the central problems inherently part of a coercive shutdown of the civil and private services and businesses of a metropolitan are like Bangkok ARE being discussed, they're out of the headlines and the carried sign-boards, but they are real, nonetheless!

IF Sutep's chosen avatars do take over government posts, why would Thai citizens want to obey a non-elected minority? What legitimacy could it possibly have?

Two responses:

1) 'Oh, Sutep and his government will govern so purely, so honestly and so transparently within Constitutional limits that EVERYONE (okay, almost everyone) will be happy!'

2) 'Well, Sutep's government would be SO MUCH BETTER than the (current, elected) government, that he would be right to arrest/jail/execute any dissenters!'

So, Thai's (and the watching world) can believe #1 because...? What is the clamoring crowd of coercion putting forward to PREVENT abuse of government power in the future? Why would it work? HOW would it work? Can the current, legitimate government put these changes into place and continue to govern?

And as for #2, that looks a lot like the current American government: 'Anybody who doesn't like what WE are trying to do is racist, counter-revolutionary and ignorant!' Hmmm, what happened to the vaunted Thai freedom?

A 'Clamoring Crowd of Coercion' CAN get results, but by setting an example of force, NOT RATIONAL NEGOTIATION, it immediately becomes vulnerable to that SAME FORCE being used against it.

Could we try Rational Negotiation or Rational Consultation? Establish our goals, the ideals that ALL parties to any agreement could accept, then publicly (and privately) work out the details, methods and practical ways to IMPLEMENT those goals in a free society? with justice and compassion for all?

Or is that too much to ask?

Bangkok Shutdown: Day 4

Bangkok Shutdown: Day 4

Crowing About the Pain We Caused

Official Thai-language report on TV today: about 4,000 people per day, Thai citizens, receive passports to go abroad for business or pleasure.

The Sutep Crowd of Clamoring Coercion has cost more that 16,000 people their passports, to-date.

Newspaper headlines today "We CAN Shut It Down!"

Wow. Gee. Imagine that, throwing sabot-shoes into the machinery breaks the machine, makes me a saboteur and gives me something bad to crow about.

Bangkok Forced Shutdown: Noon Day 3

Thai TV just now (1400 Thai time) announced that Mr Sutep is responsible for the kidnapping and death threats from his camp, and another warrant has been issued for his arrest.

So, again with the questions.

If the Yingluck election to serve Thailand is NOT legitimate, to what do we ascribe governmental illegitimacy? If the Yingluck government DID conform to all pertinent, relevant Thai law, what legitimacy can be actually ascribed to Suthep and his supporters?

The government is charged with striving to protect all, even the protesters, while Sutep walks free, surrounded by press and private 'Security',  bouyant in his belief that the Yingluck government will,  nay MUST strive to follow all laws at this precarious crossing, taking care to protect Mr Sutep AND Miss Yingluck, or risk creating a MARTYR out of a simple, flawed, human politician.

But if, for the sake of investigation, we stipulate that 'the present government is full of BAD people' and 'GOOD people must be placed into key governmental positions' what would ENSURE a) the goodness of those NEW people; and b) their commitment to govern in such a way as to satisfy (or at least not antagonize) the large majority of Thai voters who ELECTED the Yingluck government?

For that matter, if Yingluck and her cabinet WERE elected in accordance with Thai law, where is the good in replacing that one set of 'damaged humans' with another, UNELECTED set of set of humans? If Yingluck has WANTED, for the last two days, to vacate office, for example, couldn't she be TRIED under Thai law for dereliction of duty?

And, for now, the obvious 800-kilo gorilla question on our living-room floor, smiling with Thai courtesy: If Sutep popularizes (he cannot legitimize) the use of FORCE by disgruntled minorities in this maner, doesn't he do a disservice to the Thai nation as citizens, by encouraging a string of similar economy-crippling smiling thug-imposed 'protests' against HIS government every time this group or that feels upset, ignored or badly treated?

Yes, I am FOR the people of Thailand, just as I was FOR the people of South Africa and the Philippines, two popular uprisings that soon turned out with serious racist tones (South Africa) and charges of corruption against multiple members of the Aquino People Power revolution in the Philippines.

The problem in Thailand is bigger than any group, coalition or Party... We, the People are searching for and hungry for and eager to have an administrative system LIKE the *wondrous system* brought by Lord Amit-Abha, and effectively functioning around the world for decades now, with justice, rationality and effective policy administration!

After all, the Lord Buddha Amit-Abha was promised us by Lord Buddha...

Bangkok Shutdown, Day 2

With only a few more reported deaths (and those mostly accidents) Thailand made it through another day of 'civil disobedience, Thai style', namely smiling, strolling, eating, singing and only 'permitting' necessary infra-structure workers to come into Bangkok, smiling all the while...

Quoting Bangkok Post (an English-language print/online newspaper) "...the belligerent tone reflects an air of impunity surrounding rally leaders who travel freely around the city despite warrants for their arrest for their role in civil unrest that has left eight dead and hundreds injured.

The protesters, backed by the kingdom’s royalist establishment, want Prime Minister Yingluck Shinawatra to resign to make way for an unelected “people’s council” that would oversee reforms to curb the political dominance of her billionaire family."
If you're just joining the party, the above two paragraphs contain most of the critical information about this uncivil civil-rights exercise, namely:
--the crowd-leaders aren't concerned about breaking Thai law, aren't concerned about being arrested and haven't been arrested so far;

--eight dead, hundreds injured in two days' efforts;

--the crowd, having stepped outside legal framework and policy, seeks to FORCE an elected Prime Minister out of government without due process;

--the crowd is backed by 'royalist establishment', which is a small book/white-paper in itself;

--the crowd wants to force acceptance or compliance with an unelected, extra-legal 'council'; and

--the crowd (through its leaders) whinges about 'political dominance'...

So aside from asking 'Who's taking care of the Porta-Potty problem for ALL THESE PEOPLE?, there are a few questions that might further enlighten readers new to this likay-drama-performance.  Wasn't Yingluck and her government duly ELECTED in accordance with established Thai constitutioal law? Even though there were some SERIOUS OBSTACLES placed in her path?

Doesn't Yingluck represent AT LEAST the people who elected her, as she strives to use legal, ethical Parliamentary procedures to govern Thailand? Does 'the royalist establishment' mean 'people who consider themselves royally ABOVE the 'normal' Thais? An elite minority, especially gifted for telling the plebian pedestrian peasants what's good for them?

Might the 'political dominance' be a logical, legal outcome of uniting several previously disputing factions into one technologically-empowered, forward-thinking group (of Red-Shirts) that want to continue lifting Thailand into a technically enhanced future?

And if that 'people's council' DOES get installed, will some knitting, cackling crones be on hand to point at the Yingluck cabinet ministers as they are found 'guilty' and frog-marched to the guillotine?

"So powerful is the light of unity that it can illuminate the whole earth. The one true God, He Who knoweth all things, Himself testifieth to the truth of these words," quoting the Buddha Amit-Abha.

Bickering, blaming and fault-finding are NOT empowering, ennobling SOLUTIONS to today's spiritual problems, showing up in the voices of MILLIONS of Thais who want Justice, humility, trustworthiness and rational consideratio from their government.

Now for Day 3, Wednesday...

Bangkok Shutdown, Day 1

Monday Night: Bangkok Shutdown, Day One

A calm, quiet assessment tonight as Day 1 winds to a close, and Day 2 pads in on thousands of civilian feet... Some questions come to mind, but first some acknowledgements.

Michael Yon has been doing an admirable (and exemplary) job reporting on events/dynamics he witnessed today, from various spots around Bangkok. His reporting is neither inflammatory nor excusing, neither naive nor jaded,  rather he strives for objective, rational, factual reporting and intelligent extrapolation of the actual, factual reality as much as possible.

Yon's reputation as a trustworthy source of unbiased journalistic reporting is hard-earned and well-deserved, and both leads to and encourages comments of all stripes in the wake of his posts at Facebook.

So I share one of Michael's posts from today: "Amazingly large and motivated crowds now. Must be hundreds of thousands at least. This government is in trouble." Accepting the veracity of this, and accepting that a large percentage of FOLLOWERS are motivated by sincere desires to install a fair, honest, trust-worthy government that can govern with representative Justice, yet I also acknowledge that there are NO political solutions to the spiritual problems being protested BY the People.

This is Thailand, 'Land of Smiles', where smiles convey genuine pleasure, joy and gratitude as well as anger, distrust, suspicion, resentment, revenge and even hatred... all covered with the polite Thai smile. 'The government is in trouble' from a vocal, organized minority who want the admirable goals of transparency, trustworthiness, compassion and justice from their government.

And yet, 'Khun Suthep still a professional politician. And he always has support and funded from Democrat Party. So don't give him all trust,' warns Nic Chan, in a comment in the thread under Michael Yon's post opining that to 'take the Thai stock exchange' would be a gaffe of massive consequence.

'The Whistler Revolution is a powerful force that is growing. Negotiate now, or fight later. Those are the choices as I see them," says Michael in a post late in the evening, an opinion with which I agree, but which leads to larger questions, namely:

-When Mr Suthep uses 'Whistler Revolution' followers to oust what he calls 'Taksin and his puppets' will it be followed by installing Suthep and HIS puppets, when the chips are down?

-Does the '...funded from Democrat Party' accusation (above) corroborate other reports of 1,500 Baht per day per person (from credible reporters around Tawana-The Mall, Bangkapi) today?

-Will the *system* of government envisioned by Mr Suthep include modifications/enhancements OF the *system* such that the corruption so despised by the FOLLOWERS of Mr Suthep will be eradicated in a Just and Compassionate manner?

-or will the *system* be manipulated by MONIED PEOPLE SOURCES above or below Mr Suthep, such that a complete cast of 'new, unsullied, uncorrupt' PEOPLE is introduced to a *system* that is, as the Amit-Abbudh said circa 1863, "lamentably defective"? Whereupon the "lamentably defective" *system* in-place after Mr Suthep's 'Whistler Revolution' support commences to CORRUPT and ABASE the new round of spirits ushered into Thailand's political system?

Seen in this light, Thailand's 'Whistler Revolution' is part of the larger, more universal yearnings being experienced by all humankind today, from Thailand to Iceland to Egypt, where We the People are struggling to arise and shake off 6,000 years of 'obey the government and the clergy' mindset, for the 'kingly caste and ecclesiastics (the clergy)' were the TINY minority controlling access to the levers of power for 6,000 years of previous human history, ending May 23, 1844AD/1260AH, when the telegraph ushered in today's era of digital, electronic communication, and God 'seized power from the kingly caste and ecclesiastics' and has 'given POWER TO THE PEOPLE', as Mr Suthep and others have so astutely observed.

But Mr Suthep, and all others who would use that People Power for their own, possibly ignoble, base ends, would be well advised that Our Creator is in this for the long run, has instituted a Day of Judgement wherein We, the People have RECORDS of all promises, impications and explicit verbal contracts voiced by our 'leaders', and are holding these leaders ACCOUNTABLE now, in THIS Day.

The Thai stage IS important, and really a historic event, not to be diminished by me or others. This is humankind's struggle, here and now, for a national house based on Justice, for all...

Sunday Night: Lighten Up!

Now before you scrape your cranial cavity with a spoon, please understand that my roommate in the Army (while we were serving on the Korean DMZ) was nicknamed 'Beaky Buzzard', for his physiognomy, NOT for his 'hyuk-hyuk' moronic attitude.

In fact, check out the picture below:

The beak without the camera, far left, and the glasses, HE's 'The Buzzard', a true whiz at scoping out certain signals and at getting nosebleeds when it was least convenient! Jimmy Durante may have been 'The Schnozzola' but Mr Buzzard was 'The Beak!'

Why is this all relevant? Well, we were THERE, on the De-Militarized Zone between the Republic of Korea (South) and the Democratic Peoples' Republic of Korea (Communist North) for a reason: there was a WAR on between the two nations, and even though a 'cease-fire' was in place, the North was making it abundantly clear that everything could change at a moment's notice.

We were there, on an island, for anywhere from 13 to 20 months, variable. But what was NOT variable was the difference between the relatively FREE South Korea and its evil Socialist twin to the north...

Looky here:

Japan to your right, South Korean democracy, then the big, blank North Korean workers' paradise between capitalist-democratic Korea and Communist China. This was taken more recently than when we were there, but the differences were just as stark, every day of every intervening year from there to here... just not as graphically visible.

And that black, empty, lightless HOLE between the free world and China (and Russia, north-east) is one of the realities that Beaky Buzzard, myself, and several MILLION Thais are rallying against in Thailand and around the world!

More as it happens...

Sunday Sermon: Disease Infiltration

Quoting NoisyRoom.net:

The communists have become so emboldened, they have ripped their masks off and are pushing their doctrine as mainstream to the public. Here are some of the things they have accomplished since 1963:
  • Capture one or both political parties. Check.
  • Do away with all loyalty oaths. Check.
  • Use the courts to weaken American institutions by claiming their actions violate civil rights. Check.
  • Get control of the schools. Weaken the curriculum. Get control of the teacher’s unions. Check.
  • Infiltrate the press and gain control of key positions in radio, TV and motion pictures. Check.
  • Eliminate all good sculptures from parks and government buildings. Substitute shapeless and meaningless forms. Check.
  • Eliminate all laws governing obscenity, calling them violations of free speech. Check.
  • Present homosexuality and promiscuity as normal and healthy. Check.
  • Infiltrate the churches and discredit the Bible. Check.
  • Eliminate prayers and religious expression in the schools. Check.
  • Discredit the Constitution and Founding Fathers. Working on that.
  • Transfer arrest powers from police to social agencies. Check.
  • Treat all behavioral problems as psychiatric disorders. Check.
  • Use mental health laws to dominate and gain control over opponents. Check.
  • Discredit the family as an institution. Check.
We have been infiltrated by communists. Face the reality and embrace the suck. We have to get rid of this disease before it kills off the freest nation ever to exist on earth. We were so busy working our jobs, raising our families and being entertained, that we invited evil into our midst and let it become our ruler. Our country is in need of a political exorcism.

Read the whole thing, its factual and very current, leading to the prediction that World War III is soon upon us. However I aver that World War III was the Cold War (end of WWII to the fall of USSR and the re-uniting of Germany).

It is NOT, however, a serious stretch of the rational imagination to posit World War IV on the near horizon, simply looking at what the Communists/Socialists have done to humankind (and the free world's once-upon-a-while security-protector-force:) America.

The years of denying the angelic, spiritual reality of humankind; the growth of popularity of the 'We Can Do WITHOUT God' even as they gutted real LEARNING in school and the world's CLERGY continued to 'scoff and deny' the unity and continuity of The Creator's creation...

All these have led to the conflict evident today in the growing aspirations and hopes of We the People of the world, as evidenced by Iceland, Thailand, Egypt and other outbursts of rationality recently. We want Health, healthy, honest self-determination, an end to forced racism when the Oneness of Humankind is so obvious; and we want Justice, for ALL...

So keep your eyes open. If NoisyRoom.net is right, we'll experience some nuclear applications soon, on our way the the inevitable World Peace, proclaimed by The Lord of the Age.

If the predictions of war are wrong, we'll experience the inevitable World Peace even sooner!

National Childrens' Day in Thailand

Today (second Saturday of January) was Childrens' Day in Thailand, with gifts, open-house exhibitions at air, army and naval bases; and all sorts of special considerations for young children in Thailand.

Our family's visits to orphanages and gifts of blood suffice at times like this, because we want to help in substantial ways, but don't want to encourage materialism in the process. This Childrens' Day was pleasant, relatively quiet and the television ran dozens of reports of special activities.

Which I find good, and yet in the larger context of preceding the first national 'Clean Up the Government' day, it seems almost surreal.
Talking about surreal, famed Bangkok writer Chris Moore will be observing carefully as events unfold, and may detect a way to deduce just what, exactly, is happening and why. Stay tuned.

 Monday 13th, Bangkok

BabbaZee asked if we were seeing the additional deployment of 15,000 extra police across the capital prior to Monday 13th, and I answered:

Yes, we ARE seeing this!
The BIG boil comes to a head Monday,
but first we have Sat and Sunday!
We the People are READY for something BETTER
(less corrupt or maybe actually PURE, uncorrupted
at all; honest, transparent, RESPONSIVE?)
and
they're ready to put it all on the line... Michael Yon
is here, reporting, as I shall be Sunday & Monday
even with my primitive digital camera...
The 'Mob' is no longer Yellow-Shirts VS Red-Shirts,
but has morphed into Multi-Colored-Shirts UNITED
against the Taksin/Yingluck dynasty AND against
Sutep (Yellow leader)
FOR Thailand... THIS is Egypt, Iceland, Syria,
the world, responding to God's call to We, the People...

After which she asked WHERE I'd be, so I answered:

Okay, Kiddo
Google maps shows Bangkapi (area of north-east Bangkok)
and a large boulevard running generalle E-W
Lahd Prao (or Lad Phrao) and we live way out toward the right,
but I'll be reporting from the leftward-most intersection
where Lahd Prao turns into another big street/boulevard,

Here's the GMap linkie where we live: Lahd Prao 101, going UP
off the screen, and Lad Phrao clearly marked angling across the screen:
http://bit.ly/1eIQ4AD

Follow Lahd Prao LEFTWARD until it merges with Wipawadi
(mal-written Vibhavadi)-Rangsit, and from that intersection
BACK, rightward, to the large MALL-ROOF you can see about mid-screen,
I expect to be elbow-to-buttbulge with MOB-people Monday...

The mall-roof is Central Lahd Prao, one of the loci of focus Monday.

Now, here's what I gather so far: there is the Red-Shirt faction
which has been denied its turn at the trough since electing Taksin Shinawat
only to have him deposed;
then Yingluck Shinawat's first electionwas nullified by the Supreme Court;
and her second national votewas 2010, when the Red-Shirts rioted downtown,
so the vote was delayed;

then she was finally elected with an absolute majority in parliament, because
the Shinawat family is either popular enough OR
has enough CA$H to pay plenty of peasants
to get an absolute majority (I think a bit of both, as Taksin owned Shin communications,
with TV, cell-phone infrastructure, satellites and radio,
AND ca$h galore)

which all meant the Yellow-Shirts were OUT of power for a while, along with
the Democrats and a couple other more-or-less minor parties that USED TO
gain power by forming alliances, but they really lost traction
against the full majority that needed no alliances, so

they started agitating about Taksin's 'corruption', even though he is/was
out of the country, and HIS corruption must mean that Yingluck IS CORRUPT, too,
just ask us... (methinks there is more than enough corruption to go around, but
the 'powerless' outsiders don't dwell on THEIR suck at the national tit, so

when the pre-Christmas bruhaha started last year, it started as Yellow-VS-Red shirts,
but morphed through the Whistlers' Demonstration, and again into
a more-or-less broadly supported CALM demo
set for Monday, with several MILLION expected in the streets,
even after Sutep (suthep) being told by all sorts of Talking Heads on TV
that he CANNOT be Prime Minister because he, too, is tainted
because of his public, rabble-rousing statements, accusations and
defamatory allegations leading up to today while rallying the
Yellow Shirt mob, when

Sutep was shown on Thai TV, walking with a quarter-million people
NOT totally enamored of Sutep, but willing to put it ALL on the line Monday,
demanding CLEAN (honest, transparent, accountable) government!
