each person is entitled to express his or her opinion without fear of retribution
after opinions are freely aired, we periodically put our opinions to the test of local and national elections, and the majority then rules
but even then, the minority retains it's rights under the legal system which is the same for all, regardless of race, religion, or party affiliation

By your reasoning, EVERY government of humans is doomed to fall, whether 'God granted us the Constitution' or 'God gave us inalienable rights'...
because ALL human efforts, whether informed of a concept of or belief in 'God' or totally atheistic, ARE EFFORTS made by humans.
Our country, with its imperfect rule by humans, is becoming aware again of the existence of the perfect rule of God, the One, the Almighty, Whose Messenger for THIS Day and Age is Baha'u'llah, the Lord of Hosts.
And you're right, Americans as a majority are not yet Baha'is, but America WAS blessed by a long visit from the Son of the Lord of Hosts, 'Abdu'l-Baha, and he praised America for its many strengths, ideals, and freedoms.
